Sailing and mindfulness yoga retreat

If you are looking for an incredible wellness and adventure experience, you are in the right place.

This is an opportunity to enjoy sailing along the beautiful Adriatic coast of Croatia, experience life on board, practice yoga at stunning places, and relax with a massage. Sailing is one of the most exciting outdoor activities you can experience in Croatia.  Familiarize yourself with the power of the wind and sea and enjoy high quality moments dedicated only to your mind and body.

Movement and the proximity to the sea energize us and allow us to release everything we no longer need. Meditations will connect your mind with the energy of water and air. This will teach you the benefits of living a conscious life, life from your own center, and in the present moment. Combining yoga, pranayama and meditation with the sea and the peacefulness offered by being on the sailboat is an experience that we’ve had the pleasure to have and want to share it with you. Our perception changes while sailing, we hear differently, feel different, so we find it much easier to look at ourselves in a completely different way.

What to expect?

Retreat program:

  • In one week on the boat, you will learn basic sailing skills and you will adjust to the wind, sea and life on a boat.
  • You will learn how to turn with and against the wind using the mainsail and Genoa, as well as rules for avoiding a collision with another boat. Of course, every day you will learn a couple of basic naval knots that you need in order to be able to sail.
  • In addition, you will learn the basic logic of nautical behavior and combine that logic with your existing or newly learned yoga (Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin, SUP yoga - per request).
  • You will also have an opportunity to enjoy pranayamamas and guided meditations, as well as a neck and shoulder massage.
  • Previous experience: not necessary
  • Min. requirements: swimming skills along with energy and enthusiasm for some light physical activity and chores on the boat.
  • Skills you will gain: basics of steering, sail handling and you will also improve your yoga skills
  • Accommodation: sailing boat
  • Sailing route: Split Aquatorium
    (in agreement with the crew we can always change the route according to your wishes)

SATURDAY Šolta - Vis (Vis); check in, get in touch with crew, check the boat. Sailing to the bay of Vis (Vis) SUP yoga, tour of the island (Stiniva, Silver Bay, Green Cave), return to Vis.

SUNDAY Vis (Vis) - Pasadur (Lastovo); Morning pranayama and kriye, sailing to Pasadur. SUP yoga in Pasadur, transfer to the town of Lastovo. Afternoon Yoga and Meditation.

MONDAY Ubli (Lastovo) - Pomena (Mljet); Morning pranayama and kriye. Sailing to Pomena. Afternoon Yoga and Meditation.

TUESDAY Pomena (Mljet) - Orebić (Pelješac); Morning pranayama and kriya. Sailing to Orebić. Afternoon Yoga and Meditation.

WEDNESDAY Orebić (Pelješac) – Vela Luka (Korčula); Morning pranayama and kriye. Sailing to Vela Luka (Korčula). Afternoon Yoga and Meditation.

THURSDAY Vela Luka (Korčula) - Hvar (Hvar); Morning pranayama and kriye. SUP yoga in Vela Luka. Sailing to Hvar (Hvar). Afternoon Yoga and Meditation

FRIDAY Hvar (Hvar) - Šolta; Morning pranayama and kriye, SUP yoga and meditation.

SATURDAY Šolta - breakfast on board. Check-out until 9:00

Organizer

Ana Kutija

Ana is a nurse, a sports-medical massage therapist, Professional coach of sports recreation with an emphasis on the implementation of therapy in sports training and everyday life. Teacher of multi-style Vinyasa yoga (RYT200, 500), lecturer and educator at YogaPRO School, where she teaches Yoga Basics, Therapy Yoga, Hatha yoga and Workshop of Restorative Yoga and Yoga with Props. Regularly leads Yoga Nidra and  Aroma meditation, relaxation techniques and visualization along with weekly classes of Hatha yoga and yoga with props. She is studying at the Iyengar Yoga Teacher School in Slovenia. Ana has many years of experience as a Pilates Instructor and in Corrective Gymnastics. She has 22 years of work experience, including 15 years of experience in working with professional athletes, and years of experience in working with managers in wellness, stress management and mental training programs.
